Candidly, I started out with the assumption that everybody inside The Beltway was Not To Be Trusted until they very conclusively demonstrated themselves to be otherwise. (Bad habit I've carried over from 'Nam.)
And no, speeches don't count for ****. (Or, for that matter, actions as reported by WaPo/NYSlimes, etc, etc...who I don't trust as far as I do the aforesaid denizens of DC.)
JMHO, Bolton right now is TBD. Could be one of the goats, could be a lamb, all depends on what he's actually done and written and what he does/doesn't do over the next month.

I don’t think that’s a bad habit. I would call it a smart habit. I agree that the verdict is TBD on Bolton.
However, I’ve personally never cared for the man from what I’ve seen over the years on TV—his appearances.
