Depends on what they mean by “disconnected from the power grid.” Fukushima’s power plants had melt downs when they did not have power needed to keep the nuclear fuel cool. Hopefully this article could mean “disconnected” from contributing or supplying power. Not good for the people but better than the alternative. Prayers up that the situation is positive with plant in stable condition.

And, I do agree that China is likely covering something up, because that’s what they do. They are taking drastic actions for something that at present seems not so bad. Why-Unknown at present.
I agree that running simulations are a necessary and good thing to do in order to prepare for scenarios that could happen.
However, that does not mean that people with less than pure intentions, might have access to that information, and be able to use it for more nefarious purposes. Just because something is normally done for good, doesn’t automatically prove anything with respect to their intentions.
It is certainly true that some past elitist people were believers in eugenics. Some States in the USA at one time, had forced sterilization programs.
Ruth Bader Ginsberg - responding to a question regarding Roe v Wade-stated that at the time, it was believed that certain “groups” should not procreate. Well, abortion has killed millions of babies-majority of them black-was that one of the groups—we don’t know, because she did not specify.
I have no idea what Bill Gates, really believes as I can’t read his mind. I do know that George Soros had a little get together at night during a Davos Forum. It was reported on Bloomberg Financial the next day, that they had decided that overpopulation was the number one problem facing the world.
IIRC, Bill Gates and Oprah were among those guests. They did NOT say on the news what the solution was. So who knows?

I have no idea. The real question I have is why is China reacting so strongly? This virus would seem to be a rather poor biological weapon from what we know so far. It doesn’t seem to be worse than regular Flu, SARs, MERs. TBD. And why don’t they have soap in their public bathrooms etc. I mean we KNOW that sanitation is important—why don’t they join the 21st century?
