The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

2019 TODAY’S CRYPTOGRAM HALL OF FAME

On February 26th, (The first day of Lent), I will name three TODAY’S CG 22019 Hall of Famers, and give a $25 donation to Free Republic in their behalf. They will be drawn at random from a hat.

I appreciate all the support for this forum as it’s now been a little over a year since we started.

I know many of you get up in the morning or after work and do the CG, and seldom if ever post a thought about the quote itself or how you solved it.

Yesterday’s CG about never being too old to dream a dream hit home for a lot of you, and I appreciated the private messages on this.

On the other hand, it’s good for me to know that there are people doing these, as my goal is to bring like-minded people together. So, why not share your thoughts with the group?

In fact, my dream was to make this a kind of cracker barrel forum where we bring up a topic or two and talk about it?

I see all of us posting on different topics throughout the day. Why not post a topic here for discussion.

I’ll start one for today.

For example, I think all of us are getting frustrated with the impeachment. Obviously, Trump is running this country pretty well without the help of Congress.

I say, let them vote on witnesses. Let them call or not call them, but get on with it.

Trump can continue thru EO and the like to get the work done that needs getting done.

Yes, but the long term solution is not EO's as they can be rescinded or countered by some future Dem presidents EO's. Trumps, or rather the peoples, policies need to be codified in law or they will only be temporary. We need a supportive congress to get that. Come out strong and vote this November.
