Sounds like the poor woman was overwhelmed.
I doubt she ever intended to be sole caregiver for two extreme special needs kids in her twilight years.
What the heck. She should have gotten two life sentences at least. You act like there was no alternative at all other than to kill them?
However, I was jarred by the comment about her being in her "twilight years". I'm a year older than she is and I don't think I'm anywhere near my twilight years yet!
Fwiw, I thought what you did and did not say in post #2 was appropriate and humane.
Just a year younger here. This isn't morning, but it's not twilight, yet.
But, in her photo, she looks quite a bit older than 56.
Those poor boys... so sad.
Yep - if something were to happen to our daughter, we would fight for custody of the 3 grandkids because the “father” is a druggie who is a RN but starting to self destruct. I’m 67+ and the wife will be 70 in May so it would be a big upset in our “normal” lives, but we would do it anyway - this woman probably never imagined she would have two special needs kids on her hands - tragedy that she couldn’t handle it and wouldn’t give them up to an entity/family that could provide for them.
