The Gilroy Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man accused of trying to kidnap a 2-year-old boy on Saturday.
A Gilroy family was shopping at the Gilroy Goodwill when the father realized his 2-year-old son was no where to be seen, police said. He searched the store and found his son holding an adult man's hand, being led away.
Advertisement "Let's go buddy," was the phrase the father heard this stranger say to his son as he appeared to lead him away. The father confronted the man and the culprit let go of the child.
Before the father could report the incident to the store, the man had been kicked out for shoplifting. He reportedly became aggressive outside and employees had to lock the doors to keep him out.
Police reported the man was described as Hispanic, 35-40 years old, 5-feet 10-inches to 6-feet tall, weighing 180-200 pounds and had a bald head. In addition, he had tattoos on the back of his head and neck area. He was wearing a blue polo shirt with thin horizontal stripes, very long black shorts, white socks and black and white Nike shoes. He was riding a blue bicycle with a basket attached to the front.
The incident is being investigated by the Gilroy Police Department. Contact Detective Silva at 408-846-0335 with any information. Anonymous callers can use their tip line at 408-846-0330.
We are governed by English common law, which we must respect. What is the expression? "The wheels of justice turn slowly, but grind exceedingly fine". Put his sonb*tch in a meat grinder and unleash the wheels of justice.
Pedophilia run rampant.
“Before the father could report the incident to the store”
Wait, what?
The next line of this article should start with “Before the man could take another step, the father ...”
Either Pedophile, or Psychopath. If you can handle it, look up the murder of James Bulger. I had never known about it until I found out that the Cranberries wrote a song called “The icicle melts” about it.
“In addition, he had tattoos on the back of his head and neck area.”
MS-13?
Yep...
There's also the human trafficking. The guy could get good money for a kid like that.
Another case where the father should have had a concealed gun and blown the f’rs head off!!
another case where the father wasn’t paying attention
Only takes a second. The article says the family was shopping with the child not just the father. My 3 year old jumped into a pool and we were sitting right next to him. Didnt realize it till I saw him dog paddling for the pools edge..... seconds... just seconds. Thankfully I was right there with my wife and other son.
When she got to me, she couldn't speak but she was pale and shaking, so I asked her what happened until she could say "a man tried to grab me".
I asked her if that man was still there and she said yes, so I approached the area where she was but noticed a 6 foot something black man in a hoodie watching us to my right about 12 feet away. I asked my daughter if that was the man and she said yes.
I turned towards him and said "are you the guy who tried to snatch my daughter?" and he said "Oh, don't make a F__ing big deal about it" and turned and ran out of the entrance.
I called the police and the officer was discourteous and aggressive to my still shocked daughter as if he didn't believe her. After a day or so, I called the police chief and complained but they still haven't caught the guy.
They’re not sending their best.
I'd have shot the f***er who tried kidnapping one of my children dead without a second thought.
I suppose I’m the only one who never heard of Gilroy and have no clue where it is in this big country.
