If true, we’re screwed. Those sailors weren’t anywhere NEAR Wuhan ...and means lots of OTHER sailors may be infected as well.

You missed the part about the port being next to Wuhan. So, yes, they *were* in the hot zone.
The sailors probably partook in the local Wuhan...ahem...cuisine.
