Bumetanide is cheap - about $20/30days. IF this study is correct somebody needs to buy the patent on this and jack the price up 2000%. Like they did with that inhaler thingie. Actually several people should have went to jail over that in a perfect world.

Furosemide is even cheaper, I believe. I can get it for $4 per 30 or $10 per 90 day supply as a generic, no coverage required. I'm supposed to be taking it (x1) daily and really need to get back on track with it due to edema and BP issues. The one drawback to prescription diuretics is, for the first four hours or so, when nature calls, it calls quickly and loudly. If it's used in conjunction with certain Type II diabetes medications like Farxiga, you may initially only get about 30 seconds' notice between 'the urge' and loss of bladder control. It is embarrassing.
