Earlier this month, the Netflix documentary produced by Barack and Michelle Obama, "American Factory," was predictably nominated for an Oscar for best documentary. In response to that news, I expressed my belief that the documentary was nominated simply because of the Obama connection, and I stand by it. I said at the time that "it's a bit hard to believe that this documentary would have earned this nomination had they not been linked to the project."
And I also made the following observation and prediction:
Barack Obama has already won two Grammy awards for Best Spoken Word Album, and Michelle Obama was recently nominated in the same category for her memoir, Becoming— and I'll bet a thousand dollars she'll win.
Well, I wish someone had taken me up on that bet because I'd be a thousand dollars richer tonight. I don't watch the Grammys or follow any coverage of them, but it was reported Sunday afternoon that she had won.
I'm sure it will go right next to her husband's Grammys and Nobel Peace Prize on the mantel of their fireplace.

I still think HRC is ‘priming the pump’ to insert Chelsea in the ‘public scene’...if she starts going after Shumer and or Kirstin(???) look for the clintoon machine to insert her in the primary OR even Congress for a ‘start’ but that is lowering themselves.
Even run her as an R?????? if DNC doesn’t cooperate.
At least if that happens, a smashing defeat may put the Clintoons on the trash heap where it/they belong OR, better yet JAIL (but that is only wishful thinking as the SOBs do protect their own unless it is to their advantage to ‘screw ‘em’)

Another in a long line of examples as to why EVERY Awards show is now completely worthless.
I miss the days when awards used to be given out for well written and produced movies, great music, etc. Those days are long gone..

Guessing she didn’t sit with Joy Villar then? So, will this boost exposure since it’s a “grammy winning” production? Will it get them to the “Sooner or later you’ve made enough money!” point? Yeah, didn’t think so.

Exactly, I have listened to a lot of books and a good reader is an artist. This is just BS pandering. I’m sure the pros are thrilled with this.

If Obama can get a Nobel Peace Prize when he was a do nothing U.S. Senator, this is to be expected.
Then they wonder why the Grammy ratings are in the toilet.
