JACKSON-A report in the Lakewood Scoop on Thursday said National Security Advisor John Bolton was heading to New Jersey to meet with religious leaders, community leaders and GOP officials to address a pattern of anti-Semitism against Orthodox Jews by the Jackson Township Republican Club.
Bolton, a former Trump aide was invited by Dr. Richard Roberts, President Trump’s former Advisor on Jewish Relations who has pledged his support to combat what has become a culture of anti-Semitism within the Jackson Republican Club.
In recent years, Jackson Township has experienced a population surge of Orthodox Jews, after neighboring Lakewood Township is running out of space to build new homes. That influx of new residents and the fear of rapid overdevelopment has the community of Jackson on edge, but Roberts said some members of the local GOP club who run the town have gone too far.
Roberts blames party leaders Ocean County GOP Chairman Frank B. Holman, III and Mayor Michael Reina for the acceptance of intolerance in their party. Over the years the club has been plagued with resignations of members from township boards because of remarks made on social media. In one instance, a former Jackson GOP appointed zoning board member even threatened New Jersey State Senator Robert Singer and former Ocean County Chairman George Gilmore, both of whom are known to foster good relations with the Orthodox Jewish community in Ocean County.
Roberts claims Holman and Reina have failed to take proper actions to call out anti-Semitism within the party, especially in Jackson where the club’s two top officials, County Committee Chairwoman Clara Glory and Jackson GOP Club President Todd Porter have been under fire for insensitive and anti-Semitic posts made on Facebook against Orthodox Jews.

Interesting- if they control the township then are they the folks who put in the Sheriff Kunz who came up with the overkill fingerprinting of firearms owners idea a while back? The Township had to back down after ticking off the local gun club.
Could this be a case like Chicago “Republicans”... Democrats that seek to run against other Democrats but can’t win a Democrat primary so they run as Republicans in name only, like that numbnut “Republican” in Chicago who helps out the Democrats every election year by making racist comments about blacks and by supporting the KKK? Do any of them hold actual conservative views?

Last year, member John Burrows resigned, later Burrows went on social media to wish death upon New Jersey State Senator Robert Singer and Ocean County Republican Chairman George Gilmore, who also serves as Jackson Township’s general legal counsel and affordable housing attorney.
After that, zoning board member Anthony Marano was arrested on child pornography charges. When police came to arrest Marano, the ordeal ended with an armed standoff with police.
Last week, developer Peter Kitay resigned from the board after allegations were made against him by residents at a township council meeting. Those allegations have not been confirmed but revolved around landlord registration and property tax issues..../snip

I don’t know which party these jokers belonged to [and Gilmore may have deserved it] but it sounds like a bunch of fools.

Bolton characterized himself as a “lapsed Lutheran” on an appearance on Glenn Beck’s show.

I live in the area and can tell you that there has been a bad anti Semitic backlash as Orthodox Jews began to move into new towns around Lakewood, NJ. It is not limited to the Republican party at all. Criticism in Jackson happens to be focused on the Republican party because they have been in power and many of the individuals caught making some awful, unmistakably anti-Semitic comments happen to be Republicans.
Good grief....it.s the DEMOCRAT PARTY that are the ANTI-SEMITES!!
Don’t be fooled by the NJ “Republican”. It’s not anything I recognize as being Republican.

Bolton strikes me as someone needing anger management in general. He’s a disgruntled fired employee, I wouldn’t trust anything he has to say about Trump.
Nothing wrong with that.
President Trump had every right to do that, considering the corrupt condition that Ukraine was in at the time.

I live in Bricktown. I am not anti-Semitic but zoning laws seem to be lax to say the least in Lakewood since it seems every available place is occupied by a synagogue and yeshiva and trying to get down County Line Ave around 3 in the afternoon can take forever.
