Kobe Bryant died in a helicoper crash in Calabasas Sunday morning ... TMZ Sports has confirmed.
Kobe was traveling with at least 3 other people in his private helicopter when it went down. A fire broke out. Emergency personnel responded, but nobody on board survived. 5 people are confirmed dead. We're told Vanessa Bryant was not among those on board.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Sorry to hear this. He seemed to be an okay guy and was becoming more of a Family Man in retirement.
Totally unexpected, but copters are not planes, and perhaps are not as safe.
True, the Internet is full of garbage, so I prefer to wait until a Sheriff or someone with knowledge confirms versus waiting for the likes of a hacked website to say it.

Kobe has his own helicopter..his own personal helicopter, not sure why he would be in Calabasas, he lives in Newport Beach

OANN just reported it. They don’t normally run unconfirmed stories.
There’s a photo at the TMZ page, showing a building in the foreground, and a source of some smoke on a hillside some distance behind the building. If true, the coverage may be slow to avoid any embarrassment in case it’s yet another hoax.
