Doctors warn China coronavirus carriers may show no symptoms of illness
CAT scan revealed signs of pneumonia on 10-year-old Shenzhen boys lungs even though he had no outward signs of infection
Strict quarantine and contact-tracing regimes crucial to containing outbreak
More, from your link....
....As shown in this study, it is still crucial to isolate patients and trace and quarantine contacts as early as possible because asymptomatic infection appears possible, the report said.
Six members of the family travelled to Wuhan from Shenzhen between December 29 and January 4, according to the doctors, and the boy with asymptomatic infection dubbed Patient 5 in the study was one of two children in the group....
Vegas gets a big bump in traffic from / to China due to the Consumer Electronics Show. This year it officially ended Jan. 10, but the total “wind down” takes longer. All those people in huge convention halls, shuttle buses, flights, entertainment venues, restaurants, thronging the streets...
I think overall attendance may have been down this year, but last year it was over 175,000. Plus there are some family members and so on who’d go along for the trip, but not actually attend the Show.
Heck, when I used to go to CES semi-regularly, I’d catch “something” every other trip or so.
Several of my friends were there this year.
If this virus had popped up a bit earlier, no doubt we’d be hearing of CES related cases, all over, by now.
Hong Kong Police just shot teargas into the crowd in MongKok on the first day of Chinese New Year!

“so at what point, if ever, do we and other countries stop all incoming flights from China?”
I suspect early next week.
The full magnitude of events is just beginning to sink in.
Naked guys in pools are the threat?
BTW, that is not a dead body. The guy clearly is stroking as the head is out of the water.

Two of the new people with the virus in Australia have been in Australia since January 6 & January 9

It is NOT a dead body. His head is held above water.
This is probably even hacking. Why trust anything electronic? So easy to fake.
Tourism shut down.
They are trying to prevent a formal WHO declaration of Pandemic which has mandatory protocols around travel, business, borders etc.
With this fast moving situation, I recommend a daily restart with a new thread each day...and a link back to the previous day’s threads.
Interesting. Thank you. There is no way that is a dead body. Hes holding his head out of the water. Thats not the way a corpse floats....and then I would question, what is with all the people casually hanging around?
People are so easily deceived.
Well, this decade is off to a great start...
Note my word TRYING.
It’s a weird pic to post. I clearly said in one post that might be some drunk having a laugh.
But it looks like a dead body floating in a pool of water. What is the message they are trying to send.
To be clear: I am not saying not to use HS.
I am saying there are almost no so-called HS meant to kill any viruses. That is just the truth.
If you are worried about a virus, the average OTC Wal-Mart merchandise is NOT going to help you.
Great.
Bring all the infected citizens back home to infect the rest of us.
NY times
9:10 a.m.
China suspends inter-province bus services to and from Beijing
8:55 a.m.
U.S., France, Russia evacuating citizens from Wuhan
A lot of people on twitter think the news cycle is focusing on this to keep impeachment out of the news. Or Trump’s defense out of the news. Or something.
Thats about 9 NYC not 5
Early next week to stop flights is about a half a week too late.
And we’re bringing back all our infected people from the consolate in Wuhan.
We. Are. Morons.
