I've been a Giants fan since the 1950s and was thrilled when the Giants traded for him. However, I have to admit he was probably more a disappointment than a success.
But you have to admit he was a class act.

Two Super Bowl titles and you are disappointed?

As a Viking fan I’d take the disappointment of two Super Bowl trophies any day. Twice over the GOAT!!

“no one ever will wear No. 10 again.”

For Fran Tarkenton or Brad Van Pelt?

Sop sitting on the bench for most of his last season is what he had planned from the start? IIRC his brother went out after just having gotten a ring. The G.O.A.T is expected by some to retire soon...about a year after having gotten his sixth.

Manning, 39, departs as the franchise record-holder for most passing yards (57,023) and touchdown passes (366). He also is one of only five players in NFL history to have won Super Bowl MVP honors multiple times, after leading the Giants to championships following the 2007 and 2011 seasons.

He was a very odd QB in some respects. Mediocre to slightly better than average under normal circumstances, very good when he had downfield weapons on offense and a good offensive line to protect him, and downright awful in recent years when the team had a awful line.

But one of the best of all time in a tight spot late in a game when engineering a comeback win, for sure.

He finished his career with a win-loss percentage of exactly .500 ... which probably sums everything up perfectly.

How many other New York Giants’ quarterbacks have led them to two Super Bowl wins, while collecting two Super Bowl MVPs ?

Eli Manning is my favorite NFL quarterback of all time. A class act, both on and off the gridiron.

Much like his famous dad.

I wish his brother Peyton would retire from dorky commercials. :)

I've been a Giants fan since the 1950s and was thrilled when the Giants traded for him. However, I have to admit he was probably more a disappointment than a success.

I've been a Steeler's fan since my first game in 1951 when the Steeler's tied the Giants 13-13 in a season that was less than stellar.

if you are disappointed with 2 Super Bowl Rings, think of all the other teams and fans that never even got a single victory.

How about the Bills and Vikings with EIGHT losses?

I'd have to shoot myself.

the Bills went offfffer.

Dat means 0 fer 4.

Now dat's puken blood, laying face down in the hash browns, at Mastoris Diner in New Joisey, at 4:30 AM after sucking down 13 Grey Goose Dirty Martinis in Mid-Town Manhattan.

And the only remembrance you have of the whole event, is your credit card receipt with the 50% tip {BIG SPENDER}.

Eli was very good, not great. Always a gentleman though.
