Allowed? Per the constitution the government doesnt get a say in it. Exactly. The poll is specious... not only does the gov not get a say, neither does a poll. Neither does you or I, as per any viting in this silly stupid poll.

Consealed carry seems to be a better choice. --
I would think if one is not allowed to carry in public, that would include a prohibition on concealed carry in public.

Look how they cheated the vote from the start. Instead of a simple yes or no choice the selections are one no and two yes choices to split the yes votes.

What other people think on this question should be irrelevant. My God-given individual rights are not subject to a vote. If the thugs pass laws restricting those rights, I have no ethical obligation to obey those elitists. The only reason to obey evil laws is out of fear, if I am sufficiently scared by America’s enemies in power, and that fear is not a question of morality.

” The English used in the 2nd Amendment isnt that difficult to parse.”
You would think so, wouldn’t you. Yet I’ve heard/read people seriously state the the 2nd Amendment does not guarantee a right to the people (even though the word “people” is right there) but rather the Amendment is really guaranteeing the states the right to form state militias. In fact they claim that the SCOTUS turned 200 years of precedence on its head when they acknowledged the individual nature of the right and required states to honor it.

"allowed"?
What part of "shall not be infringed" do they not understand?

PMSNBC must have taken the poll down or the link is broke.
To: mikelets456
Turn that poll on its head.
Poll: Should government employees and agents be allowed to carry guns in public?
The 2A is not a right granted by anyone other than the Creator, least of all the very government who may feel inclined to abolish it.. Its a Constitutional safety valve designed to guard against the very tyranny our Founders revolted and fought against.
SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. There is no gray area.

Re: two yes choices to split the yes votes
Great insight.
I completely missed that.
In any event, getting 46% pro-Second Amendment votes on a MSNBC poll makes me (temporarily) feel more confident.
To: mikelets456
Ah yes, another yes/no poll with 3 answers.
Know the pollster is disingenuous/biased when the poll tries to split one of the answers to assure a plurality for the favored result.

What info gets given up?
I don’t see anything there except the vote choices.
