President Donald Trump has sent a clear message to lawmakers in the Democrat-controlled state of Virginia, warning that he will not allow them to undermine the Second Amendment rights of American citizens while he's in office.Speaking during an interview with Fox News Wednesday, President Trump warned Democrats that a gun grab "will never happen as long as I’m here."

Yeah! This Northam is absolutely a Hitler wanna be. He needs to be stopped now, along with the Nazi state reps in VA trying to pull this stunt.

"Only if Trump supporters get off their butts and vote. And it’s not enough to vote for Trump, we need the House and Senate, yes, even if the Republican candidate is a “RINO”."

Votes do not matter in Virginia. You have to get past the naive idea that Democrats allow honest vote counts.

This plus March for Life appearance, he’s showing why we can’t vote for Democrats.

Bravo PDJT!! Gun rights people have a powerful ally now.

I don’t know how Trump’s inner conservative finally got unleashed, but it’s in full roar.

Now, for a Nazi-like response from Gov Babykiller. One of his minions wants to criminalize criticism of the Gov & state assembly.

Don’t say that can’t be enforced. Across the pond the Brits are arresting anyone who dares criticize Islam online.

Great to have his support, but as a practical matter I don’t see how he’s going to stop state officials from grabbing guns if they want to.

Virginians I know expect it to go down like this.

1) Libs pass their laws.
2) Libs grab the guns
3) Gun owners sue
4) 3 to 5 years from now gun owners win at SCOTUS
5) Virginia says “oops....we’re very sorry, but we can’t find your guns. Big foul-up, no idea what happened to them. Please excuse.

If the State government acts to take away our US constitutional rights so that we are deprived of those rights, the state government are acting extra- constitutionally against us and can be acted against. The tenth Amendment can’t be used to negate other amendments no matter what sorts of endangling laws are written in an attempt to negate our first or second amendments. That’s why Heller came to be. The DC government had so constructed it’s gun laws that they in fact negated the second amendment and the SC said DC couldn’t do that.

Virginia can modify a few things but ultimately if they create a system that ultimately just won’t allow folks to bear arms, it will be struck down just like what happened in DC with Heller. If they do it in a way that immediately imperils the freedom of many thousands, the President could act lest the people rebel and war break out.

I think this is what Trump is reacting to. There are 100 pro gun sanctuaries in Virginia now, and the patriots mean to fight. Trump believes this!

I think it will go down like this:

1) Libs pass their laws
2) Libs try to grab guns
3) Patriots give the confiscators their ammo first and engage in guerilla warfare
4) What happens next I have no idea

The above is based on my gut feeling from the direction the nation appears to be going. I’m probably wrong but that’s how I read everything today.

Lower Courts and are in direct violation of Heller at the SCOTUS.

So yes, that case can be made by Trump quite easily.

Not just Virginia either... Walz here in MN, the ass-hattery in Kalifornistan, etc...

It ALL needs to go. There are remarkably few “gun” bills that pass any kind of real Constitutional sniff test.

Apropos of nothing, sometimes that expression, "with both barrels" isn't figurative.

I'm not seeing the Heller violation.

I'm familiar with Heller and none of the proposed legislation in Virginia comes close to doing that.

The primary point of the Heller decision was upholding the 2A as an Individual Right. If you BAN firearms, that is an infringement of that Right.

You can go ahead and argue against plain logic and the express language, but you'll only out yourself as either a gun hating dirt bag or a moron.

Your choice.

Agreed. Heller said you cannot ban any firearm ownership or place excessive restrictions on firearms you keep in your home. But none of the legislation before the Virginia legislature does that. It tightens background checks, something the courts allow. It bans new sales of assault rifles, large magazines, bump stocks and the like. The courts have never ruled that was unconstitutional. It puts 'red flag' laws in place, the constitutionality of which I believe is working its way through the courts. And it allows municipalities more power to ban firearms from certain activities and gatherings. We can argue that none of that is effective or none of it will make a difference in gun violence, but it all appears well within the state's power to enact. It doesn't go as far as D.C. did. It doesn't even go as far as other states have.

You can go ahead and argue against plain logic and the express language, but you'll only out yourself as either a gun hating dirt bag or a moron.

Or someone who knows what the Heller decision said and what the Virginia legislature is considering. But I guess only a moron would do something like that.

Send in the US Marshall’s to arrest Northam. USC Title 18 Section 242. Deprivation of Rights under color of Law.

It’s a Federal felony that can carry up to the death penalty.

Excellent!

How about convincing the NoVa RINOS to vote for a Tea Party conservative? Those assholes stay home when the choice is a Tea Party or a Democrat.
