Quantum chips work on the principle that two bags of chips are entangled. If someone else opens their bag and eats their chips, the same thing happens to your chips.
Thus when you open the bag and there are no chips there, you know the entangled chips were eaten.
I’m pretty sure they’ve been using entangled chips for a long time. I’ve opened many bags and suspected half of the chips were missing.

That’s certainly a more fun explanation than ‘slack fill’.
I’m fairly convinced that Mr. Coffees are quantum entangled as well. Whenever someone buys a new one, someone else’s fails at the same time.
