Over 20 years ago they forcibly changed his name to Smokey Bear. They insisted that “the” be removed. “It isn’t Easter THE Bunny...”.

Rumor has it that the Frito Bandito had it out for him.

In the 1960s and 1970s the young geniuses in advertising convinced stuffy old corporations to throw out their iconic branding and logos and switch to Helvetica fonts instead.
Don’t question it, don’t argue with the message. It is European and formal and already decided. Done.

My parents were from Wilkes-Barre and Scranton, and my mom told me about the Planters store. Mom worked in Pomeroys and a restaurant nearby, then at an Army recruitment office (where Mom and Dad met).
Mom showed me (and my siblings) where the Planter's store was in 1970, it was changed after Anges destroyed the city.

I saw the pre-Bowl commercial last night, Apparently, Mr. Peanut died after sacrificing himself to save Wasley Snipes and Matt Walsh (who?), who were all ejected from the PeanutMobile they were all riding in. He was hanging over a long drop and let go to prevent the branch they were all hanging on from breaking. When he fell, he landed on the crashed PeanutMobile at the bottom of the canyon it fell into, which then exploded.
Planters has said the memorial service will be shown during the 3rd quarter of the Sper Bowl.

My favorite peanuts come from Hampton Farms. Salted, Roasted and in the shell with a nice earthy taste to em.

This is a brilliant advertising campaign.
I just bought a five pound bag of peanuts in honor of Mr Peanut's death.
bingo, SB commercial aired. Mr Planters reborn. All you people that thought they were actually getting rid of him and bitching and moaning are officially STUPID!
