It wasnt all a dream.
One impeachment manager took an unusual approach to answering a Trump attorneys question: by quoting a legendary rapper from his Brooklyn House district.
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) took a line from Notorious B.I.G. on Tuesday when responding to a question from Jay Sekulow, an attorney on President Trumps impeachment defense team, who asked, Why are we here?
We are here, sir, because President Trump pressured a foreign government to target an American citizen for political and personal gain, the New York Democrat responded, adding, We are here, sir, because President Trump solicited foreign interference in the 2020 election and corrupted our democracy.
And we are here, sir, to follow the facts, follow the law, be guided by the Constitution, and present the truth to the American people. That is why we are here, Mr. Sekulow. If you dont know, now you know, Jeffries said, closing with a line from the rap icons 1994 smash hit Juicy.
Biggie, whose real name was Christopher Wallace, grew up in Clinton Hill, part of Jeffries 8th District.
Tuesday was not the first time Jeffries had paid tribute to Biggie on the House floor.

I bet James Brown would have been a big supporter of President Trump. James Brown loved President Ronald Reagan and despised President Carter.
Yep!
And I know Sharpton, despite what he says publicly, has been friends with Trump for years. It's just business, and Trump knows that.
