An Australian television commercial for a popular fast food chain has been taking heat over a premise that has been accused of being blatantly sexist and enforcing archaic stereotypes.
In the 15-second spot for KFC, a young woman apparently on her way to some type of festival checks herself in the reflection of a car window, adjusting her low-cut dress to showcase her cleavage.

Looks like a prostitute to me
Still guilty at 51...
Article gave me a craving for a mixed bucket of original and extra crispy.
They are the Neo-Victorians.
Apparently the young woman’s noticeable appreciation of her own appearance was an “archaic stereotype”.
Don’t forget the Grand Tetons!
There is nothing more natural than breasts, chickens, and chicken breasts. KFC: surrender monkey
I had to chuckle a little at this. It reminded me of when my youngest boy was 13 and had a friend over to spend the night. I heard them giggling and figured they were having a good time. Next day I went in there to clean up the damage. While making the bed, I came on a couple of Playboy mags under one of the mattresses .All I could do was chuckle. I left them there because well, they already looked those mags over and over. And besides, the guys were not gay at least! LOL
66. Next thing the PC idiots will do is put a bra on the Grand Get one and. .... panties on Adam Schiff.
Stinking kindle autocorrect. Should read as The next thing the PC crowd will do is to put a bra on the Grand Tetons.
First, she’s an actress.
Second, she’s going to some festival (I’m guessing) dressed up as a hippy. Just a kid having fun. I remember always seeing girls like that at music festivals. On the following Monday, they were always button-downed, straight-laced for class.
Breast men
So now boys cant look at womens breasts. What will they do?
Name of this short (or movie) is Oily to Bed, Oily to Rise.
Make American Comedy Real Again.
There are women who want to show off, like the one in the ad. Then there are women who want to be modest and not be leered at. Modest clothing and behavior is not always enough to prevent leering, catcalls, etc.
The ad promotes immodesty and leering. Neither is consistent with a virtuous society.
GMAFB! Thats just a funny commercial.
Isnt the companys recent depiction of Col. Harland Sanders an outdated stereotype?
The World has turned upside down. These days, conservatives applaud a commercial they would have criticized for lack of decency in the past. Staring at scantily clad women is NOT a virtue. And dressing like that isnt either.
Yes, it is true. I recall when I was a teen...when was that...yesterday...no...the 1960's. Some of the lasses wanted to be Twiggy i.e. mutants.
Lots of lads...yours truly, for one... could never get enough of the curves. The day we eradicate that from life will be the day the population begins the terminal spiral and augers in as Chuck Yeager used to say.
An archaic stereotype that will still be typical male behavior 10,000 years from now and beyond.
