This is all I have to say on this matter. When I posted, I didn’t think it would stir things up the way it did. It was a realization my part that the next ‘movie’ is going to be disturbing.

Well, Kit, this lady has plenty of filters, and I know how to use them. I regard reading here at FR the same as reading my hometown newspaper (well, ok, I haven't subscribed in 6+ yers). The paper is written and published by NIMBY libbers from downstate who want to freeze us at 1950...after they get all their special projects done, of course.
My point is that this is a free-speech zone. While abiding to the posting rules here at FR, it is still just too easy to offend some readers. Well, tough cookies I say! (Floyd L. Turbow reference)
We have enough censorship, I don't think we need to self-censor because "so and so doesn't like it when we talk about ThisOrThatTopic". I have seen things posted here, both the whole article/picture and by links, that literally make me want to puke. But, none of you knew that, did you? Why not? Because I don't regard this as my own private sandbox, guided by my rules and values. Oh, and you would be quite surprised by the names of the posters who posted such sickening stuff! But, as I said, not my sandbox. I have this wonderful scroll button. I also have some loose rules about what I say and when I say it.
So, in short, a nasty, icky time may be upon us. Nasty icky things may be spoken of, or pictured. So what? It's real. Reality I can deal with. Virtue signaling makes me want to throw mudballs.
Oh, and speaking of icky and gross stuff...when I was 16 my cousin made me learn how to skin and field dress a rabbit. He said if I didn't do it, he would tell the whole huge family that I was a sissy. Even at 16, my anti-sissy sensibilities were well known. So yah, there's that for nasty and icky.
So enough of this "Let the ladies go to the drawing room and speak of Michelangelo, while the menfolk smoke and talk real world stuff in the library." I found that by making myself very small and keeping my opinions to myself that I learned a lot more in the library with the menfolk than gossiping in the drawing room!

Zero need for making denigrating remarks or extraneous ones about Bikinis and no need to call the ladies bitches to make such a warning.
Now, just to be clear—as far as I’m concerned what Ransom says about posting on the thread goes. She makes a request-I try my best to do it. I do this to show her in actions that I respect her and the enormous amount of time and energy it takes to keep this thread going.

Unfortunately, your original post and this one has some chaff mixed in with the wheat. I’m addressing the chaff which takes away from your stated intent of the posts.

Projection-you are the one that keeps bringing up bikinis-quite a few times since the first discussion of such posts. Why does that keep appearing in your posts?
B. In some of the past discussions, men and women objected to certain posts-pictures of dead babies for example. Yet, in this recent post, it was the “ladies” you referenced as having the vapors. Don’t you think that might appear a bit condescending to some of the ladies?
C. If you will check the initial threads, You’ll see that Ransom and I were among the first to reference Ephesians Chapter 6—regarding rulers of darkness and wickedness in high places.
D. The “dark” examples you listed have already been mentioned before, and was handled quite well and without a whole bunch of discord or vapors—so probably we didn’t need the warning anyway. However, it’s not the warning that was the problem.
E. Now originally, you made some remarks to Ladies and about Ladies, vapors, and posting. Ending it by saying:
“If you don’t think this is the right place for you, then back off. Meanwhile, don’t any of you dare bitch about what’s being posted here.”
Seriously, do you not realize that you just gave an order to the MQD and others-using a very unflattering if not vulgar term? And the implication being that Ransom being a person who objected to some posts, in the past, and others should consider whether this is the place for them?
Well, I’m sure that Ransomnote at times considers backing off and quitting, because who the heck needs the headaches and grief?
F. Bottom line is I think you owe Ransomnote a public apology, and I advise you —don’t ruin it with excuses and try to justify your bad choice of words.
I basically accepted what you said in our first discussion, as I tried to point out the parts of your post that might set off some fireworks. After Ransom posted to you, I really thought we were done.
But no, in responding to Ransom, you pinged me. Had you not pinged me, I would likely have gladly scrolled on by.
As far as your intentions, you know what they say about the road to hell? Paved with good intentions.
