But there are many on this site that have no problem letting some kid in college because he’s big and can run fast but can’t read or write. As long as the athletic scam continues, I can’t get too worked up over this.
I agree.. up to a point. But well never see any real meaningful change until a great number of people are swinging from the end of a rope. In full light of day, for all the world to see.
As a message, and a warning, to those who would like to follow in their corrupt shoes.
And Im not talking about the Lori Laughlins. The people sitting on the Hill are the ones who need to start paying for their crimes. Otherwise, the partys going to keep on rolling along, and the Lori Laughlins of this world are going to take it on the chin for trying to follow the DC masters playbook.
Agree!
And I actually do love sports!
It’s the hypocrisy. People really don’t like hypocrites. Her whole life she passed off and traded on her good girl image.
I don't get it either. In a world where Angela Davis is a tenured professor and New York lets felons out of jail on their own recognizance and cities flout Federal immigration law, I fail to see the egregiousness of Lori Loughlin's "crimes".
Haven’t the rich always got their kids into top-notch schools by building libraries, etc?
Seriously enough with this. Its not the crime of the century.
She should have taken the deal.
Ive been wondering why all this diversion (and focused hate) for so long also... .
I wouldn’t just acquit if I was on the jury. One of the charges is money laundering. I would have to evaluate the other charges relating to buying the kids way in to school. No free lunch on money laundering. If I can’t do it neither can they.
Good point. Ill have to look at that more closely, but it seems to me that the guy who organized the scheme may be the main culprit in the money laundering. If someone launders money just to shield their identity I might not convict them of a crime. If they do it as part of a scheme to defraud someone or evade taxes thats a different story.
If the FBI has the resources to investigate crimes like this, then half the agency should be laid off.
Yup. I don’t get where the rage comes from.
I guess there aren’t violent criminals.
Liz Warren’s application falsely claiming to be of “native American” dissent was no less unethical, seems she has suffered no blow back for her lie’s. Bernie, you were right, and you should have stood your ground.
I agree about Laughlins Holier-than-thou facade.
She was even annoying during her Edge of Night days.
So right.....its unbalanced!
Yeh seriously true.
Meanwhile no college president has been arrested.
If the prosecution has withheld evidence it does not bode well for the government. A motion to dismiss it would seem would be forthcoming.
