A New Jersey groom who allegedly forced himself on an underage waitress during his wedding reception will avoid prison time and won't have to register as a sex offender as part of a negotiated plea deal with prosecutors.
Matthew Aimers, 32, of Willingboro was sentenced on Thursday to six years' probation after he pleaded guilty to two counts of simple assault, indecent exposure, and disorderly conduct - all misdemeanors, according to records.
The simple assault charges stem from a separate incident involving Aimers and another staff member who told him he could not take alcohol outside.
As part of the plea agreement with prosecutors in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, the more serious charges, including indecent assault, imprisonment of a minor, harassment, and other offenses, were dropped.
A Bucks County official said Aimers was ordered to have no contact with the victim. The victim's age has not been made public.
Aimers is also required to undergo anger management and must continue treatment with a therapist.

Ha! Excellent excuse. The fog machine, the strobe lights and the sugar rush from the cake, kicked him into his epileptic bi-polar mode! Not his fault!
His wife stayed with him. Go figure. A wedding to remember. All with the cops to take part!
Pro Tip: At the wedding, as a bride or groom, you want your guests to get drunk. You do not want to get drunk, yourself.
That is why you spend the time sipping Champagne.

Be kind to you spouse. Be kind to your future children. Have a few champagne toasts, but leave the heavy drinking to your groomsmen and the guests.
