Nancy Pelosi is showing signs of senility or early dementia. The most extreme members of her caucus took advantage of this and manipulated her into supporting impeachment, but Pelosi didn't really understand what she was doing. To her, she was acting on rote memory from when she was Speaker the first time, and no longer had the capacity to understand all that was going on around her.
Therefore, the impeachment is invalid because the Speaker is suffering from diminished capacity, and a truly competent Speaker, even a partisan one, would recognize the importance of impeachment and would never sanction an abuse of the most impactful section of the Constitution for short-term electoral gain.
If this plays out all the way to removal, I'd call for the states to call an Article V convention for the purpose of proposing amendments, and propose an amendment repealing impeachment for the President from the Constitution. The people can find other ways to suffer through a distasteful administration until the next election.

No breaks. She is holding herself up as a viable leader of this country which she is not, she can barely speak a coherent sentence. Her obsession with power and the gavel is destroying this country and she needs to go back to San Francisco permanently. Athletes know when their age and ability becomes a hindrance to the team and they retire. Firefighters, cops know when their strength wanes, they slow down and they become dangerous to their brothers, they retire. Surgeons know when their hands are not steady, they retire.
