I had a pre-molar tooth pulled on the bottom right almost 50 years ago. It has caused zero problems; my other teeth have shifted not at all. 3 or 4 years ago, my dentist’s partner checked my teeth, and said, “some time, we should think about replacing that tooth”. I told my dentist what he said, and he just rolled his eyes and said, “No. We shouldn’t.”

might have to do with size and position

mine is a molar which takes up more jaw space and effects eating and tooth eruption of the opposite tooth...

the pics of people losing jawbone freak me out.
