I don’t expect to still be driving on the highway of life at that age. I will be taking one of the earlier ramps off, thank you very much. Each person has their own idea of what is ‘enough’ time spent walking this earth.

I had a great-aunt that passed away recently at 107. She lived alone and drove until she was 105, attended both my kids graduations, a lot of their sporting events, and every family party and get-together. In fact she only really slowed down her final year after she broke her hip in a fall and was restricted to a wheelchair. Some people just seem to stay healthy forever, while other’s bodies are shot by 60.

One of my oldest memories was seeing former President Harry S. Truman mowing his own lawn in Independence, MO. He died when I was 10.
