I’ve never heard of blood transfusions *for* the flu; unless they mean, most people who ordinarily donate, can’t, because they *have* the flu.
Sounds improbable to me too grey. Flu—they give you IV fluids-not usually blood. 500/day—do they have that many gun shot victims? Operations? Puzzling.
