There are thousands and thousands of folks here for todays Judiciary Committee meeting on universal background checks, red flag laws, one handgun a month law etc.
Ive seen at least a few thousand and am currently a couple hallways away from the meeting room.
The committee has decided that Moms Demand Action shirt wearers get to go to the front of the line!
The State Police just came out and said the committee decided they get equal representation in the meeting room!
They make up less than 1% (less than 0.5% or fewer) of the line but they are going to the front.
This is ludicrous and not equal representation of folks who are here!!!
The Supreme Court has ruled that the states can invoke laws that are not deemed too restrictive and crap like that.
See MA where the Attorney General banned AR-15s on night in the middle of the summer, with no hearings, and no recourse.
We are living in Iran except the fundamental religion is Socialism.
I have a "Moms Million Woman March" fanny pack that I carry my gun in when around some folks.
Ping!
The best statistic I could find was that only 40% of eligible voters in VA voted in 2019!
Elections have consequences, and what you are seeing in VA is the result of too many good people staying home last November 5th.
More will vote in 2020, but the damage is done at the state level, and the Democrats will spend the next two years trying to turn VA in to a Kali-Fornia klone!
Unless the Republicans can convince a few Democrats of the error of their way and get them to change parties!
Stay home in November, lose the vote, lose freedom.
Vote in November, watch you state swamped with anchor babies and blue state transplants, lose your freedom.
Six of one. Half dozen of the other. Choose your poison.
I could relate a lot more from my own experience at the legislature regards our RKBA.
But that might come off as bitter, could get me red-flagged.
Suffice to say we made steady pro-2A progress for a decade, then lost nearly all of it all in a single session when D extremist took over.
When “The Fix” is in, there is little to be done.
Still important to show up, if only to deny the seditionist the opportunity to claim a mandate for their treason.
rkba Ping!
What you are seeing in VA is the result of open borders and big government. Stop blaming regular folks that had nothing to do with implementing those policies. Population replacement is real and VA is the canary in the east coast coal mine.
"The Supreme Court has ruled that the states can invoke laws that are not deemed too restrictive and crap like that."
Yes, Justice Reed(?) had noted that it is the job of judges to balance 10th Amendment state powers with 14th Amendment protections.
"Conflicts in the exercise of rights arise and the conflicting forces seek adjustments in the courts, as do these parties, claiming on the one side the freedom of religion, speech and the press, guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment, and on the other the right to employ the sovereign power explicitly reserved to the State by the Tenth Amendment to ensure orderly living without which constitutional guarantees of civil liberties would be a mockery. Justice Reed, Jones v. City of Opelika, 1942.
On the other hand, now that we know what the Supremes have ruled, let's see what all patriots in the nation rule on the oppression of pro-2nd Amendment Virginia patriots by their activist commonwealth in November.
Remember in November!
MAGA! Now KAGA! (Keep America Great Always!)
these are standard operating procedures for progressive totalitarians. It happened to us during the tea party rallys.
Unions were bused in and seated before the doors opened. The seats were full when we looked in the meeting room.
SIGH.
But learning from my experience and hearing yours, may I suggest this.
Invest in some “Moms Demand Action shirts”. Play their game.
May or may not work.
Loading the gallery with liberals has been a DemocRat tactic to make their cause seem more popular. And I’ll bet that all of those people with the MDA shirts on are paid actors.
I can live with twelve handguns a year; what I can't live with is being TOLD that I may only obtain twelve handguns a year!
The problem is with all these they get passed is it starts with one a month, then it will be changed to one every six months, then one a year, then one every five years, then none. Once they get their foot in that door of acceptance and compliance without resistance.
I am going to call you out on this one.
When 60% or the eligible voters stay home, they lose!
Sitting our elections cause consequences!
