I doubt the cop will now commit suicide.
And the problem is?
THIS is yet another “unintended consequence” of not holding those entrusted with upholding the law to a HIGHER standard.
As I stated earlier, if they lie with impunity to the ones they supposedly “serve”, why should the public not lie right back?
The fact that he committed a hit and run and the fact that he was so mentally unstable that he committed suicide far outweighs the actions of the cops in this situation.
Bad Man-Bun day?
There’s a lesson here, folks.
If they’d only told Jeff Epstein that he’d hurt someone in a hit and run, he’d have killed himself.
Roll Eyes. Police are not guilty if stupid people commit suicide.
Ping
Paranoid much? How bout another bong hit.
I guess he should have stayed at the scene so he would have known the extent of injury.
Moral of the story is don’t hit and run.
If dude was soooo upset, all he had to do was turn himself in to find out.
Dude wasn’t “afraid he’d hurt someone”.
Dude was terrified he’d have to suffer the ramifications of hurting some one.
Dude was only worried for himself.
CNN is saying this like it’s a bad thing.
He’s not going to do it again and the public is safer for it.
What a monster. But really, people need to check up on things before taking rash action.
Reminds me of an incident in which tough love resulted in a suicide.
sounds to me like the police told the friend one thing and the family and friends played “telephone” with the info creating a worse scenario. Instead of owning up to fault the driver took himself or had help (family or friend) being stupid and taking himself out.
The cop made up a story to try and flush a criminal out. What is the difference between this and cops going under cover as prostitutes and drug dealers, which is in a sense ‘lying’, in order to flush out bad people?
Some people caught in these stings were embarrassed so much they committed suicide. Police’s fault?

Folks, you have to admit. It is entertaining to live in a world gone insane, in a sad sort of way.
The OPA says the driver’s friends reported that he grew worried in the days after the crash, thinking that someone possibly died in the wreck.
Less than a week after the crash, his roommate found the man dead in his room.

Am I being hyper-critical or has there suddently been a rash of reported ‘news stories’ where lines get repeated two or three times per article?
I do find it quite ‘annoying’ as my style of reading makes me go back and see if I hadn’t already read the same sentence...
Just wondering???
