I doubt the cop will now commit suicide.

THIS is yet another “unintended consequence” of not holding those entrusted with upholding the law to a HIGHER standard.
As I stated earlier, if they lie with impunity to the ones they supposedly “serve”, why should the public not lie right back?

The fact that he committed a hit and run and the fact that he was so mentally unstable that he committed suicide far outweighs the actions of the cops in this situation.

There’s a lesson here, folks.
If they’d only told Jeff Epstein that he’d hurt someone in a hit and run, he’d have killed himself.

Roll Eyes. Police are not guilty if stupid people commit suicide.

Do you really think police is guilty in this case?
To: Responsibility2nd
I have questions about this entire story.
It seems like just another attempt to demonize all police officers.

There are some fine people who are cops, but generally, they are not your friends.

I guess he should have stayed at the scene so he would have known the extent of injury.

There’s precedence in things like this. Girl got arrested and charged with manslaughter for convincing a boy to kill himself. I see no reason why the cop should be above the law in this case.

It seems like just another attempt to demonize all police officers. There's lots of ammo for that, no pun intended.

You’re wasting your time on this one. The suicide was a personal choice of the guy who broke the law when he committed the hit & run. Get lost.
To: wastedyears
Apples and oranges. Policing is a sort of low level warfare procesuted by the society on bad guys. It generally involves deception and all sorts of psy ops. I really doubt that such an outcome was expected. There are means and methods police should not employ of course but it is not one of these.
