Thanks for that clip. Rudy is very good at explaining things.
"We need our public and private Churchills, leaders who can re-imagine, who can call forth wellsprings of daring and guts and spirit and spunk, from one and all, to topple the way things may have been for many generationsand who inspire us to venture forth into todays and tomorrows whitewaters with insouciance and bravado and determination."I wonder if he had anybody in mind.
I’m on night shift it seems. LOL

Thats why we fondly called Pope Benedict B16.
Star Trek: Picard’s Patrick Stewart hints more characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation may appear
getting close to the red hour. I have my stash of bricks\bottles and bats...just in case.
My recollections are:
Recusal - it is a “personal ethics” choice. No one can cause another to recuse. Ethics panels are an after-the-fact remedy.
Attending Senators: The Senate will suspend all work until the Impeachment is decided. Senators will have no excuse not to attend. There is uncertainty about truant members. At this time, I believe that all Senators will attend. Sanders and Warren may travel extensively on weekends (schedule?) but will be in attendance. Booker, of course, will attend.
You see, they need to have the vote as close as possible and strictly on partisan lines because a trouncing in the Senate destroys any credibility gained in the House. If the vote spread is greater than 10 (10%), they will bleed more moderate votes.
My Dem wife (actually a moderate-right Dem) confessed the other day that she can’t stand Trump’s personality but doesn’t fault him for the accomplishments (she’s in banking).
“I won’t vote for him but the alternative ‘sucks eggs in the rooster-coop’.” She ain’t voting for POTUS at all.
BINGO!
>>She aint voting for POTUS at all.
She has integrity of her position. I can support that. Also privately grateful she won’t be voting AGAINST Trump.
I’ve been hoping that Sanders would stay on the campaign trail. He’s got to be tempted. All he has to do is announce that it’s a fact that Trump is getting off, so why sit through the inevitable. Hmmm. Can he skip the trial and still return to vote?

Heres the employee line this morning outside the Virginia General Assembly after Dems voted to ban firearms, forcing everyone to go through metal detectors. Its well over an hour, if not 2. pic.twitter.com/sc5593pfbN— Tanner B. Hirschfeld (@Hirschfeld4VA) January 13, 2020
Makes me think of somebody, for sure. :)
There’s a much larger chance of them getting run over on the sidewalk than anyone getting shot.
She is fond of replying to her rooster quote with, “And you know what kind of eggs a rooster has.”

Have not watched video, but I see a Q.

Impeachment is not “normal” business.
Senate makes the rules.
Majority rules.
We shall see.
How many warrants were issued for ‘no show’ at the court date/time?
I wish we would not call words “naughty” or “dirty”, just because it gives the rats yet something else to make fun of us and in turn distract from the actual issues. How about going back to off color or impolite? JMHO.
Re: The big question about Booker dropping out is who does his supporter now support.

Supporter.
