Interesting... Right and left brained...
You’d be a good journalist, or maybe even a teacher.
I took physics in college, who was definitely a squiggle. Learned nothing from him, because he was trying to look at the “meaning” of things.
There was book out some years ago called “Inner Tennis”
In short, I like your combination, as it shows you’re flexible and not totally rigid.
I would say you’re a great mentor for people in your circle of friends and family.
What a bunch of crap-ola. What if you’re interviewing a draftsman? What’s he supposed to say about a drawing of a square or triangle or rectangle, circle, compound curves, arcs, splines, ellipses, ovals, pentagon’s, hexagons, etc? Like I said, what a bunch of crap-ola! Only a liberal would think this is going to get you better people on the job. Way to go HR, you’re part of the problem now.
In reality I've turned into a grumpy old man. Now,
GET OFF MY LAWN!!
NOW ??
HR depts have been fusterclucks for at least fifty years.
Meyers Briggs was shown to be a fabricated, innacurate failure. Knowing now that studies proved Meyers Briggs to be a failure, and knowing that thousands of American companies used this failure test as a basis for hiring, and following that these HR Human Resources departments SUNK that company from the very beginning based upon a false test,
why have these HRs not been held legally accountable?
Another crackpot symbol test is here to sink another company.
These tests show HR Depts are like giving a teenager a bottle of whiskey and having them hire your employees from Craigslist.
The squiggle is a serpent and the circle is the sun.
I’m creating a new religion.
Never said it would get you better people...People are either right or left brained mainly...When you pair people up, it’s good to know that.
My lead nurse is “A Box” and she’s like a drill sergeant, and she gets things done regardless how routine they are...she likes routine.
Then you have a the squiggle or circle type. They work great greeting patients...
Etc.
In short, this is not to be used for hiring...it’s to be used IMO for getting the most out of your team of people.
I get hung up on the word, "likes." If I'm needing something to store and stack things in, I "like" the square or rectangle best. If I need to design something for my car to roll on (i.e. wheels and tires), I "like: the circle a whole lot better.
Haha
Funny. I’d say that’s a transition sign. Someone who is in treatment...or moving to a new job...
Maybe so.
Meyers Briggs pretty much nailed it for me. it was spot on ;-)
YMMV.
I liked it. I found it accurate enough for me.
You also get the answers from the “stick up the rear” folks who like to complain, and shout about anything. The options that they cry are missing, the lack of whatever, the standard smart a$$ comebacks. Very telling as well. The people who actually play along and don’t want to disrupt. All around very successful.
I did choose the squiggle and the triangle. Dishonest folks would pick what the HR person thought would get them the job.
At the end do you show them the answers? Are they allowed to respond if they think it is accurate or if they think it is a miss and why?
Squiggle 1st, square 2nd.
What’s my prize for playing?
Long walk off a short pier?
What if Im a square but identify as a dodecahedron?
Why wouldn’t any business appreciate an entire staff of “squares”? It’s hip to be square!
