This is the same company who just said civilians can’t be trusted with the AR-15 family of weapons and stopped sales of them. They’re also making noises like they don’t really want to sell any modern weapons to civilians.
Their Colt Cobra that they came out with/relaunched a couple of years ago was kind of crap, too. Felt cheap, not very well finished, reports of MIM part failures...

Colt couldn’t compete in the modern AR market. May have taken advantage to score some virtue signaling points. They may be going Fudd, and hoping for military contracts.
