William Shatner, known for his roles on Star Trek, T.J. Hooker, and The Twilight Zone, has already shown he's full of holiday spirit. The actor-turned-musician has released an entire album of Christmas music, not to mention his impressive roster of Christmas movies. But this time Shatner Claus has taken it a step further.
On Christmas Day 2019, the Los Angeles Police Department was surprised with a visit from Captain Kirk himself.
But he didn't just come by to give his thanks for working on Christmas he brought along plenty of food.
Shatner reportedly brought beef and pastrami sandwiches, bagels, lox, and cream cheese. He also left several hundred dollars to feed the department for the rest of the day.
And, of course, the starship captain also left a well-wishing festive card.
He made tens of millions on Priceline, he was paid in stock when he started doing those commercials.
I was thinking he was turning 90, same age as Clint Eastwood.
I forgot about Priceline.
Hate to rain on the parade, but Shatner was very critical of Hallmark Channel pulling lesbian wedding commercials...
I think homosexual or lesbian commercials are worse than airing lesbian or homo movies...at least w/movies, you have advanced warning...commercials? Not so much :(
I wish he would have stayed out of it :(
Yeah but those were the only shops open.
He has a nice horse farm outside of Lexington KY somewhere, was quite a horseman in his younger days. My son’s college girlfriend used to see him regularly at the cheese section at Whole Foods in Lex, where she worked.
DeForest Kelley got his start playing “Guy with V.D.” in an Army training film.
Weird Or What?
Chestnuts ... roasting ... onanopenfire.
Jack ..Frost ...nippingatyournose.
Yuletide ..carols ..being..sungbyachoir.
And ...folks..dressed..up...likeeskimoes!
What a nice story, thanks for sharing it!
He’s also a black belt in judo and an excellent archer, I’ve read.
I just admire the hell out of his work ethic. Took EVERY gig, has never stopped.
I’d rather have the LAPD meal as opposed to the traditional one that is just like the Thanksgiving one.
