Brick and mortar is hard. Amazon et al is easy and you get a better choice at a lower price.

I haven’t been in a Pier 1 in years. Do they sell anything NOT made in China?

Because younger people arent into the granny knick-knacks, and decorations made for suburban mcmansions, that they sell.

If you need a fake wine crate or whatever, you can buy it from the Goodwill for far less.

I remember back when Pier One sold a lot of cheap imports. A lot of kitschy stuff but affordable if you wanted to pick up some things to decorate with on a budget. The last time I was in one, it was more like Crate & Barrel. Crazy expensive for items that can be purchased much cheaper elsewhere and not just on-line.

Benn in the place one time.

Not one damn thing made in the US.

Nothing.

All of it, cheap Chinese crap or one of the poorer Asian countries...Malaysia, etc, to include much crap from Viet Nam.

They never got my business in the first place.

Amazon outright stole my $200. They never returned it.

I figured it would take years to break even.

Walmart would return the stolen money asap.

You just wait until Amazon steals hundreds of dollars from you. I have never seen such brazen theft. See how many years break even is ...

Never understood this store to begin with...

Overpriced trinkets to needlessly clutter your home with.

Definitely a Chick and/or poofer concept if their ever was one.

Hooray. Man I hate that store. Don’t know which I hate more, the fact that the crap is over priced, and that’s it completely unorganized and you have to walk through the entire store when the wife is looking for a type of item. Hope all the ones in Tucson are on the hit list.

There’s only so many wicker chairs one person can buy.

Wayfair outpaced them online. Pier 1 had some very good stuff but failed to connect enough the way too many buyers want to connect today.

I haven’t been in a Pier 1 in over 20 years. No reason to - there’s nothing there that can’t be gotten cheaper elsewhere. I only knew they were still in business because there’s one in a shopping center near me and I pass by it often.
