Hey, gang. Back in AL at 10:30 last night, but still as sick as a dog. Might be pneumonia, got a doc appt. Tuesday morning. Coughing up some blood from my throat/lungs - throat is pure hamburger. May or may not be back tonight. Hope you’re doing OK. Vision, my end of the state up there is going to be socked in with snow most of the week.

As an Asimov fan the radio version of "Nightfall" cracks me up. From what I hear the movie is unwatchable (not "so bad it's funny") so I didn't watch it.
Right now I am hooked on
Speed Gibson again after only four years. Suffering wangdoodles!

Hi, Vision. Yes, it was a good week. We saw the Clint Eastwood film, “Richard Jewell” at the movie theater yesterday. It was good, very much worth seeing.
You doing okay?

Been hearing that a good bit. (I appreciate the sincerities - allow me to exchange the sentiment.) Even Mom (Mrs. ex-42 Year RN) has been riding my tuckus about it. I’ll schlep to the E.R. if it gets worse in the next 48 hours. I currently have a belt of some vintage Bushmill’s in a custom shot glass my sister picked up for me during a business trip to Dublin last September. My throat is coated very nicely at the moment. Funny, I don’t remember Irish whiskey tasting this good in the past. *chuckle*

You’re lucky I don’t know where you live.
I’d call 911 on you from a burner phone!
Let me know what happens tuesday!

I wuzz in the Hillbilly Highlands of Western Maryland. I izz in the post-apocalyptic zombie lowlands of eastern AL/Western GA (although you can't tell from which intellectual state of either biological animation). I eventually plan on being in the Blue Ridge Mountains of West Virginia that our late 70's Americana tourbadour John Dnever sang of.

Speed Gibson is for teenagers so it's clean (but more violent than one of the posters at the time claimed!) Obviously the producers felt the show should have teaching moments so they explain about local customs in China, Tibet, Africa and other places they go. This gives you a picture of what things were like there in 1938! The writing combines humor with thrills in a great way.
ISP Agent Clint Barlowe is played by Howard McNear (Floyd the Barber from Mayberry) and sometimes you hear that special drawl come out.

Howard was born in Los Angeles and was a California guy but comes across as authentically southern. Moreso after his stroke.
