Some of these are likely Muslims, but others may be the kind of ‘intellectuals’ and tolerant people who think you can talk a bear out of mauling you, or a lion out of eating you.
Not to mention that a lot of what has gone on in Iran can be at least partially traced to British involvement back in the 50s, and their role in installing the Shah.
Photos of Englishmen and Englishwomen celebrating on the streets of London on VE Day 1945 are sadly poignant now. Not only are (almost) all the celebrants dead, but so is pretty much everything they’re celebrating. Their culture, their values, their liberty, their hard-won safety. Gone and not coming back.

Look at NYC and the welfare underclass lodged there; not only do they live there, but any market conditions that would remove them are labeled “raciss”.
Our own country is unrecognizable from that which won WWII; it is no secret how many WWII veterans feel today about “gay marriage”, open borders, affirmative action, etc. - in fact, they are among the last group that can be completely frank about it.
