Because there are no cycles.

No climate cycles.

No orbital cycles.

No sunspot cycles.

None of that.

There’s really only one force in the universe. White supremacy. Everything else is mirage... or lies propagated by white supremacists.

I’m pretty sure Mr. Mann doesn’t understand what the word ‘oscillation’ means.

There are NO cycles, only human effects, and that has been true in ALL earth climate history, say the “scientists”. /sarc

Have they explained (or accounted for in the Climate Scare) the movement of the magnetic poles?

Why aren’t the “oscillations” a part of their models? Because they are pulling it out of their a$$ as they go along...

Those fellows need to hold up on their dire predictions until they understand their data.

Is this the same Michael “Hockey Stick” Mann who preferred to lose a defamation lawsuit rather than share his climate data, as ordered by a court?

It is nice to know that settled science is so able to adapt to a changing narrative.

If one is a believer of the Word of God in the Bible there is no way mankind destroys the earth by any means. Only God created it and only He can destroy it. Humanity can damage it in regional locations. The earth is 3/4ths oceans and water. Many tracts and regions of land are sparse or uninhabitable. Don’t forget solar or global wind patterns. A volcanic eruption spews tons of ash and soot into the atmosphere yet nature handles it just fine. Scrooge alarmist preaching climate change doom—a crock of BS.

""Our analysis throws cold water -- forgive the pun -- on the idea, advanced by some climate change contrarians, that certain aspects of climate change," study author Michael Mann, a climatologist and geophysicist at Pennsylvania State University, told UPI in an email."

Hmmmmm… I wonder if this is the same Michael Mann, climatologist and geophysicist at Pennsylvania State University, who was just declared a liar and ordered to pay opposing attorney fees and court costs by a Canadian court?

Here is the next to last paragraph:

“In the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s, a buildup of sulfur aerosol pollutants in the atmosphere, caused primarily by coal power plants, had a cooling effect on Earth’s atmosphere. In the 1970s, the Clean Air Act and other regulatory measures helped curb sulfur aerosol pollution. As a result, the influence of greenhouse gas emissions reasserted itself, and global warming began to accelerate.”

To me, it has the writer stating that by ‘polluting’ the atmosphere we were causing global cooling, and now, thanks to environmental controls, we are causing global warming.

Talk about having it both ways that only man affects the climate.

The search for oscillations means that scientists could believe in something predictable, which is what science is all about: given X/Y will equal Z. Fifty years ago I was taught that earth is a dynamic planet with the sun being the most dominant influence on earth. The quest for science is to predict the future of events on earth. Studying atmospheric composition at any given time is just one aspect of all of the elements that influence our climate from one year to the next.

I hear certain parts of the Middle East, specifically near the Baghdad Airport, had a sudden burst of warming which were caused by Donald Trump.
