A high school friend's mom has her PhD in History from Pitt. Back in 1988 she was a project lead in preparation for the 100th anniversary observations for the 1889 Johnstown Flood. Charles Guggenheim was engaged to produce an updated documentary to be shown in the renovated Johnstown Flood Museum, and I and a number of friends were asked to be bit players in the movie. We were all listed in the credits, and the film went on to win the Oscar for Best Short Subject Documentary - making me an IMDB credited actor in an Oscar award winning film.
As such, I have a Bacon Number of three :-)
1. Joe 6-pack was in "The Johnstown Flood," which was narrated by Len Cariou.
2. Len Cariou was in "Spotlight" with Mark Ruffalo.
3. Mark Ruffalo was in "In The Cut" with...Kevin Bacon.
