Jake Tapper admits that Hunter Biden’s high-paying Ukraine position ‘stinks’
Washington Examiner ^ | 12/30/19 | Madison Dibble

CNN host Jake Tapper conceded that Hunter Biden’s decision to take a job for a Ukrainian natural gas firm while his father was vice president “stinks.”

During an interview with Democratic Massachusetts Rep. Joe Kennedy III on Sunday, Tapper acknowledged that he found it suspicious that Biden, 49, landed a high-paying position on the board of Burisma while his father, Joe Biden, was leading diplomatic efforts in the region for President Barack Obama.

Tapper acknowledged that there is not evidence of criminal wrongdoing between the Bidens and Burisma but admitted that the optics were not great.

“It is true that there is no evidence of any wrongdoing by Vice President Biden or that Hunter Biden broke any laws at all, but frankly it does stink that Hunter Biden got this contract with no expertise in the energy sector and that he likely - he already said he probably got that money, which was significant, because of his connection with his father, the vice president at the time who also in charge of Ukraine at the time,” said Tapper.

He passed the question off to Kennedy, asking, “Do you think that future presidents and vice presidents should say my relatives cannot cash in in any way on their connection to me?”

Kennedy noted that, as a member of a political dynasty, he believes there must be a “very clear delineation” to ensure that it does not look as though families are profiting from public offices.

Whew. I've been sitting here waiting for what Tapper had to say. Sure cleared things up. Bad optics. Got it. Thanks Jake!

No mention of Joe getting the prosecutor fired of course. Despite a recording of Joe bragging about it. That remains “the now debunked story”.

LOL - so Kennedy thinks it is important that it not LOOK as if political families, like his, are VIEWED as profiting from their government connections. I’m very sure he is telling the truth. I think what he is really trying to say, it is it is just sloppy to be seen taking money from inside knowledge and connections.

And they still won’t investigate it. That would go against their narrative.

>> there is not evidence of criminal wrongdoing <<

There are thousands of laws on the books. Release all the Biden's tax records and confiscate all the records of Biden's lawyers. I am sure we can find something. And of course you can always make up new transgressions like obstruction of congress or entrap the Bidens with process crimes.

Now, what sort of cynic would believe that the Kennedys, the Clintons, the 0bamas, the Pelosis, the Kerrys, the Bushes, or the Bidens have profited from office? Why, people so admire them that they just give them money for no reason at all!

There’s more info out there about Hunter that’s not good for him.

IRS Tax Liens, he was barred from Family home due to an incident that endangered his daughters.

Yeah, all the Kool Aid drinkers will say, who cares if he’s a rapist, druggie, fake badge toting, with tons of inexplicable cash...

Why would a company want this man in their executive management?

Have Biden Donors been Funding Hunter’s $6,000 nights at Strip Clubs?

No evidence at all that is "true". Quite a bit of evidence that is false.

Tapper acknowledged that there is not evidence of criminal wrongdoing

Of course, if no one investigates, there won't be any evidence.

President Trump on the other hand, has been thoroughly investigated for years. No evidence there either, but [shrug] he's clearly guilty.

Bad optics.

I suppose that analogy will work for him when Pelosi and Schiff have their kids’ Ukraine profiteering brought up.

As it becomes apparent that Buzzy Ginsberg is not going to be replaced by another of her fellow travelers and by extrapolation corrupt Congress critters are going to be tried...suddenly the unthinkable becomes probable.

Or they won’t investigate and try it until Buzzy Ginsberg dies.
That would be double jeopardy.

The suck-up media turns a blind to Hunter exploiting his political connections, but they're OK with Pres Trump getting impeached for asking about it. There’s a lot more more info about Hunter that centers on criminal behavior. It is instructive that Dems pushed so hard to remake Hunter into the usual Dem pose---"a pitiable victim." But outside of Deep State, Hunter is seen as a widow-diddling cokehead, a rank opportunist with an industrial strength penis on steroids.

Hunter has made millions exploiting his father's political connections around the globe.
Even scarier....his father was grooming him for elective office (yikes).

It's impossible to believe, seeing Hunter constantly at his father's side
--------speaking authoritatively from the VP's podium (above)-------
that Joe Biden would not ask Hunter where he's getting tons of money to support
his expensive cocaine habit, his lifestyle, his various girlfriends and children.

Hunter throwing around $thousands at a DC gentlemen's clubs where he impregnated a stripper
never got even a smidgen of interest from his dad?

More Biden malarkey.
