I agree with the Levin Solution since he first talked about it. No need for a trial or a vote on those BS articles. They must declare it null and void and not leave it open for Pelosi to add anything else or try any other trickery.
I’d say give the Dems a deadline, e.g. a week, if it’s not met by that time, it’s over.

Well for one thing they are waiting to get back in session, “Great One.”
Sure, bunch of losers, but then they didnt engage in the previous “sure thing” that they were all going to secretly vote for removal because they were “in on it”, and on top of that we have as many people stomping their feet and screaming that they want a trial to “bury the rats”.
But as long as people have caps-lock and exclamation points, that makes their demand the top one that needs to be done “NOW!!!!!!!”.
If they are committed to a no witness path, and are on-board with dispatching of this, then who cares if they do it today or Jan 3rd?

McConnell is a passive-aggressive - he dislikes direct confrontations. He won’t initiate but rather waits until his opponent attacks. Even then, he will look for non-confrontational ways of resolving the issue. That doesn’t mean that he is a coward or won’t defend, he’s just not an A type.
Put up or shut up. The Democrats have a really stark choice before themselves. Sure, they have a piece of paper which they seem to take great pleasure in waving around, like Chamberlain returning from Munich in September 1938.
Things went very badly shortly thereafter.
But of course, the Democrats do not see themselves in the position of Neville Chamberlain.
