My late Uncle was once elevator inspector for N.C.
One day while riding on the roof of a elevator they
were descending and the Building super was dragging
his hand along the wall when a nail that was sticking
up caught his wedding ring. Lifted him right off the car.
They got him down but then had to cut the ring off as his
finger had swollen so much.
My uncle later lost his leg when inspecting an escalator
with the floor plates removed when a short of some kind
started it up.

I work in the health care biz...

Had this patient who I'm sure he's past on now..

The staff all called him Obiwon..because no one could say his name..as he was Hispanic...and his name was complicated...Any way he got drunk..and decided to ride a bull..

Ended up with a bad closed head injury...

Well we got him off the vent...and he was on what we call WFB...and he had a trach...

So I walk in the room...and I'm looking at him..at the foot of the bed....Doing my assessment...and he coughs the T-piece off...and then coughs again...and that loogy headed straight for me..I ducked and dodged..but that loogy hit me right in my right eye...

Of course...I went right to the sink...and flushed my eye out....

Of course other staff were laughing their asses off....

My eye was fine.......Just a good story...
