A Des Moines school principal apologized after coming under attack on social media from parents and others for taking pizzas away from a classroom of kids being rewarded by their teacher before the holiday break.
Parent Neil Erickson, whose son was in the class, posted about the incident Thursday afternoon. He wrote that his son had been excited for days about the pizza lunch with his teacher, but that Brody Middle School Principal Thomas Hoffman took the food away.
“The teacher was left in tears,” Erickson wrote. “I just can’t believe it!”
The post triggered thousands of angry responses and was shared by others, who accused Hoffman of being a Grinch....

Wow - you just triggered me big time with that one. Have you ever heard of Semenya? Seems “she” has too much testosterone and is beating all the female competition. Now, true, Semenya (that name just can’t be for real, can it???) from South AFrica has xy chromosomes, but no one seems to acknowledge that as the issue, just the testosterone levels (and obvious body differences from normal females). Those other gals are just racists and genderphobes and jealous that Semenya is sooooo much better than they are. Normal people, BACK OF THE BUS! Speaking of pizza, the best pizza I ever had was out in the Midwest. And I say that as one who lives in Connecticut (think Pepe's Pizza) and works in NYC - the home of supposedly the best pizza in the world.
This was a place with the unlikely name of Poopy's Pizza and I'm guessing it was in Missouri or Iowa someplace. I passed through that area a few times during the early 1980s when driving from California to Boston and I always made it a point to stop at Poopy's even though it was about a half hour off the highway.
Now this was kind of a dive bar with a lot of picnic bench type seating but that pizza was amazing. Poopy's pizza! I used to get the one with mushrooms, garlic and sausage. So good.

Some people just have to be a killjoy. Those types should not be around kids.
Twice a year, for every year our kids were in school, I’d have to take action to stop the admin’s stupidity. It didn’t take much. A well placed phone call or two and the problem was solved by the next morning. Don’t think they ever found out it was me.
I did have two loses. One of those loses was when hubby decided to step in and the very, very angry ex-coach (I can’t stand bully coaches) current principal scared the whole office by inviting way too cool and calm hubby outside to settle the score. The vice principal was hiding behind his desk and I was doing everything I could not to burst out laughing. Having the bully principal lose it in front of everyone was well worth the loss.
I’d kick his stupid ass all the way out of town.

I loved pizza when I was a teenager. These days I wouldn’t cross the street for a slice. In fact, I hate pizza.
How about firing his ass for being too damn dumb to be a Principal?
