A 17-year-old is now believed to be the youngest student to ever receive a masters degree from TCU.
Carson Huey-You walked during Saturday afternoons ceremony, where he accepted his masters degree in physics after receiving his undergraduate degree at 14.
Something like this certainly seems to be one-of-a-kind, but he also has a younger family member, who is now following in his footsteps.

Here's hoping the wind is always at your back, the road rises to meet you..............
Dr. Sheldon Cooper, please pick up the white courtesy phone.
Interacting with physicians and surgeons of all ranks was a huge part of my job and in my dealings with the "child prodigies"...of which we had many...I found them to be sad, confused individuals....brilliant when discussing the uvula but utterly clueless...sadly so...when it came to "life".
Just sayin'...
You are so right. I have a friend who teaches kindergarten and her biggest challenge is the behavioral stuff. She spends next to no time teaching anything. It’s daycare basically. During my kids’ education I had to get tutors for math because the math “teachers” knew nothing. Thank God my kids made it through, I couldn’t have home schooled, but have nothing against it, esp if it is for real and not just because mom can’t get up in the morning.
How socially adept are they?
Sounds like you should discuss female issues with your counselor.
Colorado Christian University. Home if the Western Conservative Union unabashedly Christian and an amazing place
As socially adept as most engineers. They probably can't Rap, dance the Milly Rock or Hoop either.
“My point was that Woods, presumably like this kid, could just as well have been classified as of Asian descent, which would significantly change the narrative.”
Most successful “blacks” outside sports or entertainment are mulattos of one type or another.
You also have some pretty successful purely African immigrant types.
But they are not smart enough to acquire voter ID.

The father is a former pilot and they were divorced in 2014......
Yes, every group has a certain number that fall on the right hand tail of their bell curve. Immigrants in general tend to fall toward the right hand half of the curve because to emigrate is not easy. It takes initiative, planning, courage to face the unknown, and enough brain power to navigate the hurdles.
And though I’m against illegal immigration, I have a feeling that the illegals may turn out to be quite successful here once assimilated, simply because they had to overcome the biggest hurdles to come here.
Massachusetts General? My nephew was there on a Harvard Fellowship in Cardio/Thoracic surgery back in 2008
I disagree with you.
African immigrants in general are better educated and without the grievances and learned behavior of our system. They, like a lot of immigrants “from the islands” are more driven on average.
The bulk of our illegals, however, are coming up from Latin America. They are very often the least successful, least educated and least well behaved, who have even been nudged by their governments to move up here and colonize us. Hispanics are the one group of immigrants who on average do even worse, three generations in, than their family members who moved here. For hundreds of years, immigrants from anywhere else had the exact opposite experience.
“They are very often the least successful, least educated and least well behaved, who have even been nudged by their governments to move up here and colonize us.”
The huge wave of European immigrants that came at the turn of the last century were also the poorest and the least educated of their population and they had their unsavory groups, too, like the various ethnic mafias. After a few generations they’ve done quite well.
The biggest difference between now and then is that then the immigrants were screened much better and they were expected to work once they got here. There was no welfare programs for them, no bilingual education, no cuddling, no preferential treatment like we have for the hispanic migrants today. But that difference in treatment is not the immigrants fault, it’s our own, or more precisely the liberal bleeding hearts. We are teaching them some very bad habits from the get go, and we’ll be paying a price for that.
Those from Europe had a more common cultural, ethnic and, yes, racial heritage with us, and and they didn’t opt to come here largely because of welfare programs we obviously didn’t have at the time.
They weren’t expecting affirmative-action and they didn’t have a belief that we were the interlopers on land that belonged to them. They also weren’t criminally illegal in their entry here.
And yes, there is all the bilingual stuff here now too.
Good for them!!!
