SEATTLE (AP) Record rainfall and darkness has hit Seattle as a major storm begins to lift across western Washington on the first day of winter, though the region is still at risk for flooding, mudslides and avalanches.
Yeah. Light at 4:30 am, dark by about 10:00 pm. How did you guess? /s
OMG they better raise the taxes on everything
I can’t see....
I can’t see....
Oh, woa is me...
I can’t see.....
Suicide time for depressed NW liberals??
When they talk about a nice summer day in Seattle
they are literally talking about one day of the year. :)
Because "THEY" have figured out a way to tax you into poverty.
Meat generates green house gases while raising it. Since you eat meat, then you will have to pay extra $$ to continue to pollute the planet by making unhealthy choices.
Fossil burning to make electricity will necessarily drive prices into the stratosphere.
Your gasoline car, lawnmower, boat... will have to be replaced by battery technology. Wait until you see the bill to change out your Tesla batteries when they get close to end of life!
Your nuclear power plants will have to be shut down so that things will be safer with green energy. Wait until you see the $$ demanded from you to restore the land so that flowers will grow there.
When it gets especially cold, expect the green grid to be short of power. Make sure you have extra blankets for the times when the power goes out.
And if you should utter a single word that might be considered a complaint about AOC's green energy plans, expect huge fines and jail times. The plural is used there because the state will expect you to fail to rehabilitate at first.
forget the floods and mudslides, record rain and darkness means The Mist is coming... .
> I wonder if they experienced record brightness 6 months ago.
Nights have been getting longer for the last 6 months due to the Climate Crisis. Our computer models predicted this. Within the next 6 months we’ll be in total darkness unless we raise taxes NOW.
Or maybe start eating babies.
South end or north?
Right in the area of the little shops. Where Practical Magic was filmed.
Coupeville! Lovely place to live. I used to have a business on the wharf there. Merry Christmas!
Yes, Coupeville! It is BEAUTIFUL there! One of the most photogenic places in the country! What kind of shop did you own?
Merry Christmas to you, also!
Darkness—definitely due to climate change!
He loved telling us about pulling a couch away from the wall and finding mushrooms growing in the carpet.
He has lived in the desert for many years now.
“I can believe it’s actually raining AND dark in Seattle. “
when did THAT start happening? nobody ever said anything to me about that ...
LOL
No doubt those shrooms were neither edible nor hallucinogenic. I’d prefer the desert to that too.
For now it’s the Rocky Mountains. Cold but usually dry and sunny.
I have one daughter in Poulsbo, the other in Anacortes, so to visit both I drive up to Port Townsend, take the ferry to Coupeville, then north on Whidbey to Anacortes. Beautiful drive, beautiful island.
