The Weekly Gardening Thread is a weekly gathering of folks that love soil, seeds and plants of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first potted plant, to gardeners with some acreage, to Master Gardener level and beyond, we would love to hear from you.
If you have specific question about a plant/problem you are having, please remember to state the Growing Zone where you are located.
This thread is non-political respite. No matter what, you wont be flamed, and the only dumb question is the one that isnt asked.
It is impossible to hijack the Weekly Gardening Thread. Planting, Harvest to Table Recipes, Preserving, Good Living - there is no telling where it will go - and that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us! Send a Private Message to Diana in Wisconsin if you'd like to be added to our New & Improved Ping List.
NOTE: This is a once a week Ping List. We do post to the thread during the week. Links to related articles and discussions which might be of interest to Gardeners are welcomed any time!
Oh, how cool! How do they taste? LOL! (Probably not a good idea!)
Merry Christmas! Thanks for keeping this thread going - it is such a blessing. Hubby and I took the German Shepherd for a walk along the river this afternoon. All three of us were ready for a nap when we got home. Looking forward to perusing the pile of seed catalogs we’ve been accumulating and ordering far more seeds than I’ll ever be able to plant - but giving away the extras is part of the fun.
Seed catalogs are the best part of winter!
Merry Christmas! :)
My favorite way to fix squirrel is pan-fried same as you'd do chicken. Sometimes I'll brown em in the skillet and toss em into a pot of vegetables.
We had t-shirt and shorts weather for Christmas. We had the house open all day. Fresh air and sunshine this time of year is much appreciated.
Interesting. I have only eaten it once, made in a strouganoff with noodles it was quite good.
Us, too! 56 degrees and sunny all day. It was Heavenly. 38 and overcast, today, a little more wind, but heck! It’s not sub-zero and it’s not snowing on me, so I’ll take it!
We had 58, beat you by 2 degrees. Amazing isn’t it. Nice being outside.
