Huh ... interesting article. I like his solution to his financial deficit ... EARNING MORE MONEY. Imagine that. Moving out of expensive, ‘RAT infested cities and ceasing to votefor ‘RATs would also help.

Moving to a red state would solve most of his problems.

No thank you, he needs to stay right where he is.

Some people have it bad all-over. I think it’s amazing that he was able to retire at 34, but I don’t think it would ever occur to me to do that even if I had the means. It just doesn’t seem right to be unproductive — if that’s the right word.

Just my opinion but age 34 is too young to retire. Those are the prime working years. Also at issue in this case is lifestyle and location. Wait until your in the 50’s, grown kids and a somewhat downsized lifestyle. Could have saved so much more too working another 15-20 years.

Agreed. In addition, if you have living parents and are placed in a position where you would need to help them out, having a working income or more saved up would definitely assist in doing that.

If he had gone to middle of Oregon or Idaho...downsizing his lifestyle a bit....the plan would have worked. Even if he’d moved to Costa Rica....the plan would have worked.

Well then he and his lazy ass wife shouldn’t have quit their jobs 35 year premature.

They had 3 million.

OK, so they had enough to buy a nice house out there.

Then what??

LAZY

First world problem.
IF he wants to retire he needs to move to a sane state like Florida or Texas where pays no income tax.

Here in Texas we still use outhouses and the summer has eighty percent humidity and it’s generally a hundred and six degrees except if in cools down when the tornadoes run close together...

Some Indian guy wrote this article for $1 per 1000 symbols. Such illogical catches are dead giveaway.

I wasn’t advocating he move, I am just stating the obvious solution. I doubt he would figure it out. Even if he did, I would bet he would still pay to live there as a form of virtue signalling.

If you read the whole article, its an infomercial for his website, The Financial Samurai.

He says in addition to moving to Hawaii to cut living expenses, he's going to monetize his site, and will apply for jobs at a bunch of financial companies.

Would you hire a cretin like this, regardless of credentials?
