I look forward to long lines at the charging stations and fewer cars on the freeway as I speed (only 10mph over the limit) on down the road, sipping gas at a leisurely pace, quality music on the quality sound system and perfect-temperature air streaming from the climate system.

i suppose those hundreds of thousands of displaced blue collar workers could always learn to code ... learn to write code for the aerospace industry, the medical industry, and other non-critical industries not terribly sensitive to a few software bugs here and there by novice coders with zero education in physics, aerodynamics, biomechanics, organic chemistry, molecular biology, etc. ...

Coal-burning cars may be the future, or maybe they won’t. Still need to invent a battery that can take a full charge in the time it takes to fill a gas tank. And, of course, we’ll need to be building lots more power plants.
