The Constitution says the impeachment process involves both chambers.
If the House doesn't send them to the Senate, that transforms them into just another meaningless House resolution, like declaring National Pickle Week. At most it transforms "impeachment" into a nonbinding House "censure" of the president.
So I'll be glad if they nullify their "impeachment" by keeping it to themselves and not sending it to the Senate.
That’s exactly right.
They have only adopted some text. They haven’t gone through the process.
He hasn’t been impeached. Yet.
So how long can denture-rattling Pelosi sit on this garbage?
****************************************
I heard it but didnt know for sure whether it was a denture problem, a problem with one too many drinks or a combination of both. But there is definitely a problem with her lately.
That’s not how it works.
Why isnt she sending over what they voted on? If she changes things up, wouldnt they have to vote again?
The press cheers on any and all Democrat hijinx.
The Constitution says that the House has the sole power of impeachment, so I don't think it's correct to say it involves both chambers.
But for a different reason, I think you are correct to say that it still isn't impeachment.
If the House doesnt produce articles of impeachment for the Senate then the impeachment process hasnt been completed and there is no impeachment.
Yes, now you're describing it better.
A person hasn't been indicted until an indictment is sent to the prosecution. The same also applies for impeachment.
Each member of the House was voting on Articles of Impeachment. Not a House Resolution.
So this raises legal issues that Im not qualified o answer.
Will Nancy have committed fraud by getting the house to vote on a Resolution and not Impeachment?
Will the whole matter be drooped?
I do know the matter cant be downgraded due to lack of progress or action.
I agree. It would have the legal affect of a slap on the wrist. Democrats can call it impeachment all they want but legally its a resolution of censure.
That is if they dont appoint House managers and appear in the Senate for trial.
National Pickle Week? a fitting comparison?
Well, the Dems are pretty much pickled and packed at this point.
IMPickle ‘em!!
To be impeached is to be charged with an offense.
If the charges are not pressed, they are not legal charges.
oh, man, I missed National Pickle Week?
So, if never sent to the Senate, could a Republican House then shred that so called impeachment?
I think the Endgame is they tell their voters “Now we must win the Senate to remove him”n
And we tell our voters “we must win the House to end the impeachment!”
No. It’s already in Wiki, already in the media. Trump has been impeached. That’s not going to change.
But, if not sent to the senate, there technically is no impeachment.
But, if the articles are not sent to the senate, what impeachment is there then?
