In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial... As much whining and groaning and moaning I heard from the Dems yesterday about the Constitution I figured I'd post this... They don't even know what they're talking about!
Dems can argue that impeachment is not a criminal matter, in and of itself.
Technically it’s not. Constitution says that only thing they can do via impeachment is removal from office. It’s not a criminal conviction.
That is the clause that President Trump should sue the US House of Representatives in general, and Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, and Jerry Nadler in particular.
Bottom line is they can say whatever they want from the House floor. Their sheep hear what they want to hear and believe it without question. Thus the persistence of so many disproven lies. We have one more chance to end this peacefully on 11/3/19. I say peacefully, but have no doubt we’ll hear from the antics anarchists. The Dems must be decimated.
no it includes restriction from running for lather offices of the senate so decides.
Any official convicted by the Senate is immediately removed from office, and the Senate may also order, by a simple majority, that the removed official be forever disqualified from holding any federal office
Impeachment is not a criminal prosecution.
So you are admitting what I’ve been saying all along.
It’s not criminal.
It’s political.
I have never said otherwise.
Of course it’s political. They’ve been trying to destroy President Trump since before the 2016 primaries. Anyway if Pelosi doesn’t submit the impeachment to the Senate there’s nothing more to talk about.
“They don’t even know what they’re talking about!” No shocker there. Butt. think that’ll slow them down? “Constitution? We don’t need no steenkin’ constitution!”
Except her having the impeachment in her back pocket gives her leverage... I don’t think that’s right...
Exactly. IMHO McConnell should tell Nancy to put up or shut up - that if the House voted impeachment, the Senate will consider it. If Nancy Pelosi votes impeachment, not so much. But we all know that the real deal is investigating the investigation of Trump in the Senate Judiciary Committee. No reason to wait for anything from the House take testimony in order to figure out if the FISA court - or even, some suggest, the FBI - are compatible with civil liberty. Or if Biden was grifting in the Ukraine during his vice presidency.
Well I was very dissappointed yesterday by the Dems getting airtime and buffoonery over the Constitution as it seems most of them aren’t familiar with our most basic human/civil rights...
Thanks for posting. The framers couldn’t possibly have anticipated the nuanced, sophistication of evil, domestic enemies. They did the best they could with the “charter of negative liberties”- Obama.
