If the Senate adjourn and the House remains in session, what mischief might they be capable of?
There has been prior consideration there is a power president has to force recess if the house & senate don’t agree. There as been other consideration of other fed gov employment things in such circumstances as well. I dunno what the exact status of things is re house in recess and thus possible implications.

It’s not clear to me. Constitution says one house may not adjourn without permission from the other.
POTUS settles disputes when they can’t agree.
I suppose maybe that DemocRATS want to remain in session, so that POTUS can’t make any recess appointments. TBD
