NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The “individual mandate” of former President Barack Obama’s health care law is invalid, but other parts of the law need further review, a federal appeals court ruled Wednesday.
The 2-1 ruling handed down by a panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans largely sidestepped what happens to some of the most popular parts of the Affordable Care Act such as protections for those with pre-existing conditions, Medicaid expansion and the ability for children under the age of 26 to remain on their parents insurance.
I hope it means that treating Adults aged 21 to 26 like Children who can’t pay for their own Health Insurance will end.

OMG, the irony of that statement! That is EXACTLY how democrats roll. If you can’t legislate it (or you don’t like the legislation), get a court somewhere to support your position.
Let’s face it; most 26 (and older) year-old leftists are still children mentally and emotionally.
The individual mandate is the HEART of the law to make it viable. I hope this is true. That pretty much kills Obamacare completely.
I don’t know what it means, but wow, an I ever imporessed with the speed at which the judicial branch discovered this.
But will John Roberts buy off on this reasoning? Anticipating this will go to the Supreme Court.
It means that the financial foundation of the AC “aka Obama-care” has been demolished. Forcing people to overpay for insurance is how the Obamacare marketplaces are able to heavily subsidize coverage for the poor. Obamacare is far more popular with that segment but extremely unpopular with everyone else.
‘invalid’ is another word for unconstitutional. Oh gee, a president that actually did something unconstitutional. Retroactive impeachment is required, right Dems?
